We are the Running Club at Virginia Tech! We are a completely student run organization that is dedicated to all aspects of running.

Distance Practices

Our cross country practices meet Monday through Friday at 4 pm across from War Memorial Gym on the edge of the Drillfield. Members will also often meet up for running at other times to accommodate for busy schedules!

Sprinter Practices

Our sprinters practice are held Monday through Friday at the track. Mondays and Wednesdays are at 6pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays are at 5pm, and Fridays are at 12:45. In addition, there are lifting sessions at McCommas Gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm. If you have any questions, contact our Sprint Captain Hannah Colbert.


We are a member of NIRCA, the National Intercollegiate Running Club Association. The club competes against other teams in cross country meets during the fall and track meets in the spring.


The best thing after a good run with friends is a good meal with friends. In addition to our after-practice club dinners, we offer a variety of opportunities to socialize and get involved with the community outside of practices, including hikes, banquets, local volunteering, and a Relay for Life team.
